If you’re looking for training in providing clients with scalp micropigmentation in the UK, here at Skulltec, we are proud to be Scotland and Devons’ leading SMP specialist. Led by our technician, Barry Tunstead (Glasgow) and Quinton Gordon (Exeter), this SMP training will enable you to carry out the treatment so you can treat clients suffering from male pattern baldness, Alopecia and scarring.
You will benefit from learning on the most advanced equipment, as well as following the ethical code and professionalism practice standard of the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC), of which we are a member of here at Skulltec.
Our SMP training course is provided in classes or one-to-one across three days. We are able to tailor our course to you, taking into account your experience to date, and any pre-existing industry knowledge you may have. Through completing this course, you will gain a qualification in scalp micropigmentation, and we will also advise you on obtaining your licencing credentials from your district council. You’ll also benefit from being First Aid certificated, and gain an infection control certificate, so you’ll be on your way towards full UK indemnity cover.
Our scalp micropigmentation courses include all aspects of health and safety, covering how to prepare the scalp for the treatment, and different techniques for scar camouflaging, density treatment techniques, and advanced hairline design for achieving feathered and gradient effects. We will cover insurance and bylaws, and consent and aftercare guidelines and paperwork. You will learn about hand pressure, and techniques for blending, spacing and depth, looking at the different needles and pigments, as well as how to master permanent impressions, to complete a client’s course of treatment within two to three sessions. Additionally, the course will cover how to carry out consultations and how to market your business. You’ll benefit from working on a live model, so you can feel confident applying these skills in the real world.
